The organizing committee is happy to felicitate and honour those outstanding players and contributors who have set a milestone for the coming generations. Their achievements and contributions will be an inspiration for the young budding table tennis players in the coming years. In 2013 the committee decided to felicitate Jitendra Kumar Gidla.
JITENDRA KUMAR GIDLA
It was proud moment for SPSTTA to felicitate G.Jitendra to commemorate his excellent achievements as a table tennis player at both national and international level. He has the credit of creating many milestones and bringing laurels to Andhra Pradesh & St.Paul’s Stag Table Tennis Academy.
He is the only player from Andhra Pradesh to represent India in Major World Table Tennis Championships in the last 36 years.
He is the winner of State Championship Title for 8 Consecutive Years, which is record in the history of Andhra Pradesh Table Tennis.
Represented Indian Team at the Asian Games which one of the biggest sports events conducted in Asia.
Was a member of the Indian Youth Delegation which visited China on an Exchange Programme and met many Political Officials and students of China in 2006.
Was a member of the Esteemed Indian Table Tennis Team which played at the World Table Tennis Championship held at Germany where more than 50 countries participated.
Represented India and Andhra Pradesh in various National and International Tournaments as mentioned under Achievements.
Have been Captain of the Indian team in the International Tournaments held at North Korea, Vietnam and Indonesia.
Have been Captain of the Andhra Pradesh team in all the Junior and Senior Nationals attended.
G.Jitendra did is schooling from St.Georges Grammar School, Hyderabad and Graduated in Commerce (B.Com) from Nizam College, Hyderabad. Later he completed his Masters in Business Administration from Oakland, California, USA, Lincoln University.
Jitendra is from St.Paul’s Stag Table Tennis Academy and was trained under Md.Ibrahim Khan & P.Nagender Reddy.
